About This Activity
The tour begins in historic Jeddah, the gateway to the Two Holy Mosques, which has been associated with pilgrims since the time of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, may God be pleased with him.
We visit the Red Sea Museum to learn about the city's history, then Bab al-Bunt and the gates of the old city that have preserved their heritage character.
We stroll through Qabil Street Market and Al-Shuna to discover traditional crafts and trade, and pass by the Mosque of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan and the Mosque of Al-Ma’mar to contemplate early Islamic architecture.
We also see the Noor Wali House and the Nassif House to learn about the lives of the locals in the past, and we conclude the tour at Al-Alawi Market, Al-Maghribi Mosque and Bab Makkah, where Jeddah’s rich heritage stands out as a hub for pilgrims and culture throughout the centuries.
